Monday outfit of the day, how to style stripes.

Happy Monday friends!! I hope you all are well this fine morning! I am doing well, I can actually have the windows open. I got my Starbucks and life is good. I got a lot to do this week and lots of things going on. Anyways, Monday, it is Monday. And it doesn’t feel like a Monday, but sure enough it is. And I was up and dressed ON TIME, and had my makeup all on before I left this morning. WOohoo ontime #ootd !!!!

OOTD styleweI am wearing a new shirt I got from StyleWe. I love Stylewe, and their clothes are so well made. I got this gorgeous striped shirt and it fits like a dream. I ordered things a size up and doing that was a good idea because I have not had a single problem! This shirt is just amazing! It is light and perfect for layering and or just alone with a pair of skinnies and OTK boots.

blogger ootdI love how this shirt feels it is so soft and silky. And yea I am back to monochrome outfits. AHHH, they are my staple mom uniform.

Ootd white and black

THe shirt has a simple pocket but is far from being too simple. So chic, and if you work in an office you can so pair this with a pencil skirt or black trousers and be good to go.

I am not feeling particularly rambly today. I think I am still dealing with Daylights savings time. And since I have to keep getting up from the computer to change laundry over I am just not wordy. But, lets try to get back into the outfit. The stripes, you know believe it or not stripes used to scare me. Why? Well watching What Not to Wear scarred me from ever wanting to wear them. They always talked about how they do nothing and end up warped, etc, etc.,blah blah blah. Well SCREW IT. I am going to wear them. But granted there is a trick to wearing stripes. There are certain stripes that look great no matter what and then some that unless you a  pencil or 2 look not as good. As people of the fashion world we must experiment with them. I think it is finding balance, and finding that right size or style of stripes. I like both horizontal and vertical stripes. But I make sure to really balance them, by wearing a solid with them. Or some people can pattern mix, I am not one of those people. ehehehehe.

Oh well.

Love this outfit though, it is classic and fun. Simple but not too simple. A bit edgy.
Not your typical mom uniform.
