Finding Fabulous

Hi friends what a great weekend we had here! I had a delicious Thanksgiving and skipped Black Friday again this year! GO me! We got our tree up and Christmasfied Our home. It is festive here and now we can really be holly and jolly. I am trying to write this with a cat sitting on a keyboard. And I am trying to be coherent in my thoughts. It isn’t working today. My brain went on vacation and left me at the terminal going “what now?” Thanks.

I was ready to start putting our tree together. I have sever allergies to real Christmas trees so we have to go the artificial rout.

This has to be one of my favorite ornaments. It says “I’m not afraid of heights. Have you seen my shoes?”

It was great having my little man helping mommy with the tree this year. As well as my cat who delighted in tearing it back down again. Wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of this.

At that point I decided it was time for a break. And it wouldn’t be a coffee break without the joys of coffee or hot cocoa. The boots are  my favorites from and right now they have a great Cyber Monday sale get 2 for $49.95 and free shipping.

I got some great things on Saturday from Express and I always get spoiled by my girls at the Chanel beauty counter. I had to get some moisturizer and I got a great goody bag which had my favorite Chanel perfume in it.

never take a picture with a child clinging to you yelling “MAAAAAMAAAAAAAAA MAAAAAAAA”

I finally got two of the skirts I have been drooling over since this summer.

I finally got the lace midi and the lace skater. They were 50% off at Express and still are! Too bad the cut out maxi is no longer available in my size. I will kick myself in the butt for that for a while.

This is one of my favorite blouses from Express. It really accents the waist. And I love the fact the buttons don’t go all the way up to the neck. I always feel like I am chocking with those. It is also on of the reasons I really never wear turtle neck sweaters. I own one and rarely wear it. This blouse was also marked down and had plenty of colors. This shirt would be great as a work shirt or a momiform.

I am trying so hard to be good for Christmas and it is just so hard.I keep finding things I want and I need to behave! But, I found some great things for some family members too. There is an issue though, it is getting harder to shop for the people in my family. So, this year I think I will do goody baskets or boxes. I have done them before.

I did this one year. Everyone got a sparkling wine, a champagne flute,Godiva Chocolate, and a box of chocolate liquors. Of course the young people would get something different. My nieces would get a Japanese soda and other things. Including a gift card to a coffee shop or something. What do you think? All of this gets wrapped up in a pretty box with a bow to match.

First of all, I love that you shop for yourself during the holiday season, it’s so important to not leave yourself out. I try to drive this point home to my grown daughter. Never give up those lit’l treats for yourself, and I love the gift ideas for your family. What a great lit’l blog you have here. I’m a first timer and it just really gave me the boost to go out and buy myself a lit’l something too! 😀 – Stopping by from Blogher. Happy December! –

Thank you for stopping by! I am glad you liked my blog! 🙂 You are so right about treating oneself. ANd you should treat yourself too! We work extra hard during the holidays and need a “pick me up” 🙂

Love the ornament! It’s so obvious you love the holiday season as much as I do!
