What I wore Wednesday, Weekend style.

Hi there friends! Today I am focusing on what I wore Sunday. For the day I went with a pretty white lace and tulle skirt and a blue chiffon shirt. As well as some great accessories and a pair of cute Guess wedges. It was a great outfit. And I just had to share it. I love blue and white together.

Love this combination! And I wore my grandmother’s antique earrings.

I love the fact they are clip ons gives  my ears a break.  Gold and glass. And class as well as tricky clasps. OK that is enough rhyming.

I truly love just finding ways to wear what I already got in my closet in different ways. This was just fun to wear.

Can not go wrong with a touch of grey either. And my hair was trying so hard to go fluffy.

And these days do people still not wear white after labor day? I have always been the rule breaker there. I remember getting made fun of in elementary school for it. I had white tennis shoes. OOOOOHHHH someone call the fashion police! And to this day I still break that rule. I proudly wear white after labor day, because why does fashion have to be dreary in winter and fall. Especially in more of a tropical climate. As we have here. How do you feel about color restriction in the fall?

Express skirt and shirt

OK I consulted the wise old sage GOOGLE. And apparently it is shrouded in mystery this whole no white dealy. It was mostly about white shoes which aren’t usually suitable for winter? I lived in the snow, the only thing that makes me think about that is slush and stuff. Hmmm. Anyways, that then expanded in the early 1950’s to white garments too. THANK THE LORD it has been relaxed a bit. But, there are those who still heavily enforce it. Thus those who choose to wear their whites in the fall and winter are considered to be fashion forward mavens and heroes. Yes!  And this is something I personally experienced in FL, that people are more lax about this rule and/or never heard of it. According to the research I did the state of Florida and Hawaii do not really follow this rule much at all. Since these two states have more favorable weather in the wintery months.

Sorry Stark winter doth not cometh here really.

And that is the end of today’s fashion history lesson. I love history!

Nope. And I am kind of glad abut that. I just remember how much people were so stern about it when I was a kid. Thanks for the comment!!! 🙂

Very feminine and lovely outfit. And I don’t believe in rules, so wear white (and other colours) whenever I want. 🙂
