The maxi dress I was hunting for. OOTD.

Hello there Gofashiondeals friends! It is so good to be back and Happy New Years everyone! Here is to this year being better than the last one! While I was on vacation in upstate NY, I found the dress that has been sold out in my size everywhere I checked in Florida. The cut out maxi dress from Express. This dress has been on my mind since I saw it black Friday weekend. And I got it! So today’s outfit of the day is this wonderful dress.

The thing I love about maxi dresses is that they are very versatile. Spring, summer, fall, and winter; these dresses can transition pretty effortlessly. All you really have to do is change the accessories a bit.

The maxi dress I got from Express is pretty comfortable and I love the cut out detail in the back. It is simple and sexy, but also can be casual. I can still chase my little guy around the house with it and play outside with him. This dress was a full win.

MY only complaint is that it can be a pain to put on. What I mean is, there is a zipper on the backside of the dress and you have to slide into the top. Unless there is a hidden zipper there too and I am way to blind to see it. I am pairing it with some cute sandals, today.

The dress was $45 after the 50% off discount. Got to love after Christmas sales.

I’m amazed at how much the dress tapers in to make the waist look even smaller. That’s a fabulous looking dress on you.

How thick is the material on that dress? Do you have to be careful about the type of undergarments you wear under it for fear you may see lines? I have a maxi where not only do I have to be in a certain level of fitness to wear it, but I also need to be mindful of my underwear. My dress is not very forgiving. 🙁

It is about medium thickness. But this dress has that same issue on that you could have issues with the underwear or even bra problem. I tried the dress with 2 different bras. And it is much like another midi maxi I own where even the smallest lines show. It sucks but sometimes it is unavoidable. Men have it so easy, they don’t have to worry about this stuff. hahahahaaha
