The living proof.

Hi there friends and happy happy Tuesday! Today I want to talk about hair on the bloggeroo. Yup, hair. Hair products that could be hair life saving and here is the living proof!

Living proof

Sorry for the not not so stylized pictures. I was so excited for this kit that I immediately ran to wash my hair with this when I got it. Plus I was fighting with someone small about a nap. I stopped myself for a few seconds to take a picture before breaking into this “travel kit”from Sephora. I bought the no frizz kit, which is a $36  value for $29. I wanted to try this group before making the huge commitment of purchasing the big bottles.

Living Proof

Can you blame me? The constant struggle with my oh so awesome hair(sarcasm) has been a fight of legend for me since I was a preteen. Let me tell you when I say #thestruggleisreal it really is for me. And after loads of research I found that maybe Living proof would be the best for me, besides Redken. I wanted to try something different.

The living proof

I have been using lately Tressume and Garnier fructis, on my hair. Garnier just dries it out so much but I had coupons and got the shampoo for like nothing. And I felt like I have used half of the big bottle of the conditioner. Ugh. My hair felt like straw and not very pretty. It was weighted down with styling products that may have been contributing to the humidity problematic frizz and fluff. But in order to combat the straw and frizz, I had to load on the products. Not good. No not at all. So why not find something that does both? That is where Living Proof comes in. And the old saying you get what you pay for May be true. So, when I ordered the kit off of, I knew this might work. Especially after reading reviews where people bragged about the frizz

I figured I would give it a shot and will probably just continue getting the kits. You get all the styling products pretty much. So yeah, I can totally see that and why it is a good idea to get top quality products for hair even if it is the smalls.

Well, when I washed my hair I only needed a small amount of shampoo, you know how you have read in Vogue and Instyle and Cosmo that you need a dime size or a quarter size amount of product. This rang true here. The shampoo lathers really nicely and holy mother of Arda (nerd moment, been reading The Silmarillion again #dontjudge), the smell is divine. A nice fruity citrus smell ahhh so refreshing and made me want a margarita.  The same thing for the conditioner, you only need a small amount. So quarter size did it’s job and my hair felt amazing. Then I towel dried it a bit and put a small amount of the leave in conditioner. Wow. Same smell, and a little went a long way. Good times. I followed it up with the styling cream. It has a nice creamy texture and goes on smoothly.

I did blow dry my hair(normally don’t because I turn into Magenta from Rocky Horror Picture show, at least I have a blonder version of her hair), it did go huge but I straightened it. It was a good thing and my hair feels great! I blow dried it to see what would happen, after all we are product trying here and I want to get my money’s worth. Next time will just be air dry. The Living Proof is in the pudding!

Well yeah, my hair looks and feels great after one wash! Normally I like to use a product for 1 -2 weeks then give a verdict. But this I needed to talk about now! The brassy look to it is also gone! I am super happy with that!  And um ignore the cockatiel hair thing going on, it was windy and my sunnies cause that .  So we shall see how it holds up to the summer here in the humid icky sticky weather, but for now winter has come and I can enjoy wintery frizz free hair! Let’s hope it lasts.

What do you think?  Have you tried Living Proof?

There’s nothing better than pure excitement over a product that you can’t even wait to open it. That’s always a good sign. :]
