Play Beautifully with E.L.F

Hi there friends! Happy Friday! Today is a great day! I got some great goodies to share with you from E.L.F! If you haven’t heard of E.L.F, then you are missing out! This cosmetics company offers top quality products for such affordable prices you can go back to ALDO and buy those boots! Wait, that was an inside thought. Sorry. E.L.F was kind enough to send me some of their new products to play with and post a look for the #playbeautifully challenge on social media like Instagram. I totally ended up looking like ELSA from Frozen.  I wonder if anyone noticed that hahah. I am not complaining mind you. OK, so they were kind enough to send their version of the smoky neutral palatte. AND I LOVE IT! Well, that isn’t all they sent. I got quite the haul!

Lets talk about the Everyday Smoky palette.

It has shades taking you from day to night. For today’s beauty challenge I went soft, and made an every day look.  I tried to take pictures of the makeup look but, lighting and a little helper made it nearly impossible to do. Sorry, I think I will have to have someone take the pictures next challenge. He took all my brushes and ran off.

The shadows go on smooth and I didn’t experience much drop down. I always do my eyeshadow before foundation etc, because of drop down. This shadow is neat because it can be used wet or dry. Wet will give you a deeper richer color. I didn’t wet the shadow.

The Crease brush is what I will talk about next since we are on the subject of Eyeshadow.

It is a bit fluffier than what I am used to for a crease brush. But it gets the job done. This brush can be for sure a multi purpose brush. I like it!

I was just thinking the other day that I needed a lip exfoliator. And E.L.F sent me one!!! They are Psychic. This looks like an ordinary lipstick, but I assure you it is not. It has a silky texture and more than that there are scrubbers in the lipstick. It exfoliates and hydrates as you use it. HOLY CRAP that is AMAZING and AWESOME! Really, happy with it. And I am going to make sure it stays as a part of my beauty arsenal.  It has a sweet smell and tastes sweet too. It really works.  Perfect for those of us who use liquid lipsticks or lip stains that can dry lips out.

The Boudreaux Beauty. This moisturizing lipstick is so good it must be sinful. I love hydrating lipsticks. We all know that. This one at first reminded me of the Almost Lipstick by Clinique, since when I tried it yesterday in haste it wasn’t that pigmented. But, today I tried it for the #playbeautifully challenge and after two coats it was bright and marvelous. I have read on other bloggers sites that this lipstick series was good and now I am a believer. And the color is gorgeous!

Blush is so important in my life. It is truly the difference between vampire and elf. Both imortal, just one slightly on the dead side. Anyways, as being paler than Snow White, I am totally reliant on blush to make me look alive and healthy. I am always on the look out for a blush that is pale, but not too pale. Pinky in tone, but not overly Barbie pink. And E.L.F delivered what I look for in a blush. YAY!

This color is Berry Merry and if you are paler than a Viking in summer then this blush is for you. Or even if you don’t want  a lot of color. It is a great blush. I think it would work with many skin tones actually.

My whole makeup look required all of this today. Minus the belt and necklace. I love E.L.F and love being a part of this beauty challenge.
