Online shopping for clothes is an art.

Online shopping is an art form, a way of life for me. It is something that Brings me joy. Going through the website and clicking on what you like and adding item after item to that glorious cart. There is just a rush about it. And when you get your marvelous packages it is like Christmas ! Opening them is so much fun! Seeing your clothes or shoes in person after purchasing them from online is just a wonderful feeling! Euphoric!

You can sit in your bed with your hair up in a messy bun sipping on a glass of wine while munching on a delicious brownie. No one will judge your makeup free self. No one will be looking at you mismatched jams. Why? You are at home, flipping through a catalogue or on a site. You can shop at your leisure. It is a beautiful thing and as a mom something I really enjoy doing. As much as I love going to brick and mortar stores, sometimes it is hard to drag a 2yr old though store after store. And fitting rooms are not always stroller friendly.

And don’t even get me started on the lighting and the mirrors. Remember that episode of Seinfield where Elaine was trying on a dress? She swore the mirrors were bad. That is how I feel! And shopping through a catalogue or online can free me of that.

So, here are some basic tips for shopping online.

One biggie that I ALWAYS talk about is a good old fashioned measuring tape. Get one! It will spare you a lot of returns for size issues. Especially, if the site is from another country.

Follow sizes chart. Shopping online has helped me know what my size is in EU,US,and AU. Learn it, it will save you.

On sites you know take a bit give time to get them.

Paying with a Paypal or secure payment options. Sometimes you can even take advantage of a buynowpaylateruk Many catalogues do this as well as many online shops. It is pretty cool, you buy something say, shoes, and you pay for it later. Helpful with the holidays coming up and you need presents or something for yourself. It can really save you!

Also, a biggie, know the return policy. Make sure you understand it. Can you take it back to the brick and mortar? Or send it back. Once you understand it, you can return and be a happy camper.

A sewing kit. This goes back to number one. Why? Well sometimes a button gets loose on the journey. It happens! And it is just a good idea to have in general. You buy them for less than a dollar usually. And there is a tape measure sometimes in them.

And last, long post sorry, don’t ever buy a tape measure with the print being a metallic white!! As a certain blogger did when she was in a rich because the vacuum cleaner ate the last one. Can’t read it!

I love shopping online and I hope you do to, although that isn’t to say I don’t enjoy getting out and being in public(gasp!), I do. I like my mama day out and doing that. But, I always find myself going back to wanting to see what is online and see if I can save money. Always check for coupons or codes for extra savings. Or in some beauty stores instances freebies.

Now, I am off to finish my brownie and go shopping in my mismatched pj’s . I never wear matching sets…I don’t own any hahahah. I need to change that.
