My Christmas adventure

Well, I figured since I am stuck on the couch with a side of toddler complete with sniffles, it would be the perfect time to post my Christmas adventure. This year we stuck close to home, nothing out of state and nothing far from home. Let me say it was the most relaxing Christmas ever. And I can not wait to show it to you!
Christmas eve we went over to my mom and dad’s house. We had fun going down memory lane and talking about everything from my dad’s crazy 70’s hair to my sister and I having that most awesome 80’s and 90’s hair. Remember Aquanet? If you were a kid of the 80’s and early 90’s you will. Good old Aqua Net. We went through so much Aqua Net hairspray. That was when crunchy hair was the “cool” thing because of the massive poodle hair. *shudders in fear*

We went on a walk Christmas eve to see some Christmas lights and wow!

The piggies were cute! Now, I didn’t get many if any pictures of my little one opening presents on Christmas eve, as he was wanting to badly to play with a train. Can’t say I blame him.

This drink is a family tradition of mine. It is called Wassail, it is a cider based alcoholic beverage and oh my god it is fabulous and tasty. Perfect for cold nights which this one wasn’t um hello summer. And the next day, I was a doofus and didn’t take many pictures of that day either. like of the tree except for on Instagram. I did get pictures of what hubby got me!

One blanket to rule them all, one blanket to bind them. One blanket to snuggle up and in the darkness sleep through the night in.

Yup I am a total dork, and I squeeled like a little girl who got a new Barbie. I love this!

And hubby also got me a C/MEO collective midi skirt! I love this print! And it is one of those skirts that looks better on. Pictures do it no justice.

I also got some beautiful jewelry from my Sister in law from Francescas.

So pretty!

The next day we did what we consider our black Friday. Boxing day shopping! Then after the shopping we went to a pick your own strawberries, strawberry patch.

He wanted to play in the dirt more than pick strawberries. And the bad thing is, with the overly hot winter the bugs went to town on the berries. The pickings were slim.

I decided to wear a long maxi dress from Express, but that is OK. I can not wait to post a whole outfit picture of this dress!
