Fourth of July , making wishes.

This year on the fourth my family decided to try something different for the 4th of July. We wanted to do something more meaningful.  So, we decided to light lanterns.

You unfold the paper bag like structure and put the wax block under it, it is held in place by a metal piece. Light it up, wait for it to expand and as you let it go make a wish. As you let it go it floats up in the air carried by the flame. It is really beautiful and quite the spectacle. We all have wishes, wishes that we hope to get fulfilled. Big or small they all mean something. And once we let the lanterns loose there was immense panic as we started to wonder what happens next. The flames burns out and it slowly falls. And I guess lantern lighting was the in thing this Independence Day.

Well, here are some fireworks.20150704_201908
