Hi there friends. My oh my what an interesting day. Today has been full of fun and merriment, exhaustion, and my son putting a mouse in a cereal bowl that was left out. Not a real mouse like a furry fuzzy friend. No a computer mouse. Yes, it isn’t everyday you can say there’s a mouse in my cereal. Today is that day.
So, what do you do when your tiny child puts a mouse in milk? Well, I rinsed it out. Probably not a great idea since, well the electronics got wet. But, they were wet already. Then the darn thing wouldn’t work. Oh Tartar sauce.
Then an idea popped into my head. Rice. Put the thing in a bowl of rice. If it works for phones and iPods, it will work for a mouse right?
Well for the sake of SCIENCE we will try it!
“Yes, I’ll have the mouse on rice”
OK, now normally for an iPod, iPad ,etc you want to leave it for up to 24 hours. But, curiosity got the better of me. I tried it after an hour and it started to work. Especially after I bludgeoned it with
my hand. The little guy spurted to life for a minute or two and there was hope. I am going to leave the mouse in there a bit longer and see what happens. So, the rice and electronics hack WORKS.
Now another life hack, I discovered on pinterest that I wanted to try so bad but felt weird about it. Since it involves socks.
You know the socks that seem to have no mates? Well you can turn them into a bun holder. AND IT WORKS! I took a sock and cut off the end. I then took it and rolled it into what looks like those weird doughnut things you buy for “top knots”
See? And just like the other things you roll your hair in it. And for the record I am terrible at that. But, I will say it does indeed work. WOW, never again will I waste money on those. Not when I have plenty of socks for the use of that.
Man, I do love Pinterest!
Yes, Pin them all.
And on another unrelated note I am still playing around with The Evil Within and I hate the lack of AMMO!!!!!
Seriously, hate the lack of ammo.
I know you love posting the fashion updates, but posts like this can be so satisfying. No? 🙂
I love posting random things and techy stuff. I am a huge dork 🙂 and proud of my nerdiness. 🙂 Plus posts like this could help people which I love.
Haha, love these hacks! Hopefully I will never have to try the first one, I don’t like my electronics wet haha!
Me either but my tiny child was like, eh why not. Haha
