Victoria Beckham for Target.

Victoria Beckham for Target

OK, SO I said to myself, I said “SELF, listen here you coffee addicted princess….You are on a shopping Freeze.NO more stuff M’KAY! After the Alice and Olivia Shorts you got from the Real Real.” FOrgot I bought those….OH well. And so I nodded to myself and went on my way. Then I needed to get some Melatonin and thought I shall go to Target. Knowing Damned well that the newest collection was launched. And I thought, well. I will go in and at least try shit on. That is what I thought. That is what I was saying. Saying to myself repeatedly as I grabbed my Cold brew from the Buck and as I grabbed dress after dress and shorts. Uh oh.

What harm could happen from shorts being tried on except my own self esteem hitting the floor. Yes, I have issues. Anyways, I also said for the good of the blog I will do some dressing room photos. There a legit reason. Right?

Victoria Beckham for TargetI thought, OK, there are things that are great and things that aren’t for me. And so after asking if they even had the collection, I found out it was “picked over” . It wasn’t not really.

Racks and racks of fabrics, of her designs. And so I’ll tell you what I want what I really really want. These clothes! But, OK. Try them on and so Try them on I did.

Victoria Beckham for TargetThe lighting in dept stores suck, by the way.

Victoria Beckham for Target

Thanking God right now I do not have a little girl….

Me in the dressing room, I mean who else would it be. Right? I am surprised I showed up in the mirror. I am so pale that I go all vampire in dept stores.

Victoria Beckham for Target

MY new years Resolution was to buy shorts..So why not I thought. And tried these on. Now in Target clothes I am normally a size 2 but the shorts ran small and without looking I grabbed a size 4 and wow it fit really well. Not too loose, not too tight. Hmm. and I love the mint lace. OK, this may have to come home with me and for $28 that was not a bad price, considering some of the Target Brand shorts are that much anyway give or take a few dollars.

And I have no idea how NOT to make a weird face in the mirror.

Victoria Beckham for TargetTHis was as normal as I was going to get, lots of funny faces. Anyways, I called this dress the Wednesday Adams. The dress was cute and came in Blush. But I grabbed black. Cute, Runs pretty good to size. I went up a size from XS to S. I could have been happy with the XS. IT would have fit perfectly. But, I couldn’t shake that Adams feel so It went back to the rack. Even though I love the Adams family. I am more of a Morticia than Wednesday.

Victoria Beckham for TargetStill the bunnies are cute. And don’t be surprised if I go back for it. I am a nerd.

SO I bought the shorts and a secret dress for Easter. I will share later this week the dress I picked. NOw, I tried on the Orange off shoulder ruffle dress and WOW, um it was made BIG. And it was not that flattering if I say so. If you have a more Curvy figure I think said dress would look fab, just try it on and see. It is made big, no joke. A small was like a medium on me, and I think even an XS would be too big. The clothes seem to be made really well and things are lined well. There is a definite mod flow to the outfits, yes. Definitely. OR so I felt, and kind of an Alice and Olivia vibe too. With the big white flowers and cuts of some of the garmets. But, hey I am not complaining since the price of the Alice and Olivia is more.

Still can you believe I bought shorts?! I cant

Now worth the hype?

YES! Gandalf save me, YES! I think there are so many pieces that would be amazing on any body shape and type. So yes. And the quality is really good(IMO) THe price is pretty darned good too for what I got. $35 for a dress and $28 for shorts. HAve you gone and looked?

Check out some of my picks!

LOVED the dressing room picks! And I don’t know why you’re worried because those shorts looked amazing on you! The new blog is going so well. I loved that you seem to be free to be yourself…at least that’s my feeling. Fabulous job Stephanie!

I went online that morning to pick up the navy and white checked pants and the pink pants. No dice. Everything was sold out. I am going into an actual store today and I’ll check there.

You look fab in the shorts, in my opinion! And the black dress is cute, but it is a bit Wednesday Addams! I would try it on, too, although how many black dresses do I need?! I definitely need to go check out the collection myself though…just because…

those shorts are super cute, and i also chuckled a few times at your internal monologue trying to talk yourself out of going to target/trying on items. did you watch american horror story asylum? i can’t with that “wednesday” dress, it makes me think of the nuns.

That comment is so true about the dress. It’s still my favorite piece in the collection though, because, well, rabbits. Those shorts are adorable too.
