Time to stop being too hard on yourself || shein tropical maxi dress

I as you all know have been writing a bit more about mental health and self love. And something happened just the other day. I got an email from someone saying I need to stop being so hard on myself.

My therapist says the same.

It is something I know I do. And do a lot of. I am severely self destructive.  Always feeling, not good enough, not smart enough, not thin enough, and not enough of other things including a bad mom.etc,etc. You get the drift.

It is so easy to fall into that hating self trap. And you end up finding out getting out of that trap is so very very hard.

Some cope by finding creative outlets, I do love coloring so read this post here sharing my fave books. Some go and do physical outdoorsy activities as a way of dealing or managing this behavior or thoughts.

And then some like me go to therapy. And there is nothing wrong with that. Talking through the why and how comes helps me through it. And it can maybe help you. And come up with a logical plan of action to help you stop being so self destructive.  Because these things are just that, they are self destructive and a form of mental self harm. Being hard on yourself is a hard thing not to do, we all do it. And as moms sometimes we do it too much and too horrible. Because we feel the constant eyes of judgment.

Judgment by peers, family, and so on. And it is very tiring. So very tiring  and can deplete the emotional well. Leaving you nothing but a husk.

And that is not a fun thing to be. So if you find yourself being too hard on yourself, take a step back and have a deep breath. Remind yourself that you are amazing, you are smart, you are drop dead gorgeous,  and a freaking super mom(if you have kids or fur babies).
