Ruffle sleeves and Loreida booties, a great combination if you ask me. I got these beauties in on Friday and figured out how I wanted to style them. My brain was full of ideas, so many ideas. All of which were really honestly fall and winter based. Oh uh. So much so I went to Starbucks to get my Caramel Apple Spice drink.(note: it is not a coffee)Reality kicked in and I soon realized it was hot as hell and I needed to think summer. So out came the wintery “Elsa” blue Essentiel Antwerp skirt and Ruffle Newchic dress. Yes, I am wearing a dress as a shirt. I do that a lot, because I love getting lots of use of my clothes. Consider this a different kind of monochrome. A black and blue monochrome outfit. Let’s talk about them shoes, them shoes. These are a faux suede bootie with the ever so popular embroidery. Side zipper, and very comfy! I got it in a 7.5 and it fits perfectly. These booties are indeed true to size. The pictures do the Justfab Loreida booties no justice, none. No justice I say! The embroidered details are really well done and the colors are a pale pink, golds and whites. I am glad to have these new shoes in my life. You can read my last Justfab review here
Quick note about this book! Really quick! I am a huge Tolkien fan, as you know! And my hubby surprised me with the Beren and Luthien book for my birthday! You will see that post tomorrow! This book is really good, a lot of lore and stuff but is a pleasure to read! I am loving the two different Beren and Luthien stories in the book. And rest assured I will have a full synopsis of the book on the blog this week. I have not been wanting to put the damned thing down, but my little needs me and then the hubby. So, I will get it read! You can get the book here . I made this picture able to be shopped at the very bottom of the post!
I am over all happy with the whole outcome of this outfit, considering I stood in front of my mirror in the black ruffle sleeves dress for a bit trying to figure out if I should wear a striped skirt with it or wear the blue Essentiel Antwerp skirt with it instead. These booties add that extra touch to this other wise simplistic outfit. And yet with the sleeves and embroidered boots, this outfit is anything but ordinary. The bright powder blue skirt adds some color and keeps everything cohesive. The whole look just comes together, especially after adding some cute sunglasses. My handbag wasn’t pictured, as I didn’t feel like bringing the thing outside. I am a lazy blogger, I know. The thought for this outfit was to bring winter to summer. Winter is coming. Who else is excited for Game of Thrones return? I sure as butter am!
