My October Reading list.

OCtober Reading list

Ahhh books!!! Today’s Shopping post is all about BOOKS! You know those things you read. The things where your mind takes you to places and worlds unknown. Today I figured I would share some series I have been reading this month. I read fast and more than one book . For instance I read the ACOMAF and TOG at similar times. They are so good.  And I love Laurell K. Hamilton books, her vampire series was pretty good, not was IS.

SO here are some great books for October books I have read and read and books I want to read!

Anne Rice The Vampire Chronicles.

These books are classics and the first movie made of the series was Really really good. And since it is Halloween time what better way to feel in the mood than to read about these dark and broody Vampires. Lestat the arrogant aristocat and Louis the sad and burdened colonist. These books are great for anyone who loves a bit of horror. Not very scary but very good. One of my faves is Memnoch the Devil. But, I don’t think that one is in the special edition from Barnes and Noble.   The majority of the books are written around New Orleans and it is a great set of tales.

A Court of Mist and Fury. OK the first book is A Court of Thorns and Roses. By Sarah J. Maas.

These books are set in a faerie world. And are much like beauty and the beast.  Feyre (fay-ruh) is who the stories go around. She is a mortal who kills a faerie and has to live with the consequences of that by being taken to their world and live there forever. At least in the first book ACOTAR the second is a continueation of what happens after the end of the first book.. You will fall in love with certain characters in the first one then hate others, by book two you don’t.  These are great books for people who love fantasy or LOTR.

Sarah J. Maas  Throne of Glass series.

I just finished Heir of Fire and need the last two books! OH MY gosh such a good series. The main character is an assassin and a woman! Lots of strong female characters. Which is something Sarah is good at doing!

Just wait till you read about Rowan Whitethorn, he grows on ya.

Laurell K. Hamilton Guilty Pleasures

This book is good to read. Something hard to put down.  It is about vampires too, come on its Halloween. And shapeshifters. This is the first in the Anita Blake Series which I own most if not all of. Hardback and paper back. Weird I know. Anyways, the book has everything you want in a spooky read. Murder, mystery, vampires, and a bad ass main character Anita. Who is short and has curly hair and loves her stuffed penguin as well as coffee. She is a vampire executioner, even though vampires in this book series are known of and are now legal citizens. Great series to read this time of year!!!!

The thing about reading lists is while I am great at talking about books I am TERRIBLE at writing about them, like story plot. Getting words across. Ask me about fashion and I got that. Ask me(an avid reader) to write a quick synopsis on a book and you get cricket sounds. UGH. But verbally I can say it, just not write or type it. WEIRD.

And yes I made a youtube vid of my reading list!

I love that you had a theme and stuck with the spooky stuff this October. I think you did a great job of summing them up! I can understand how hard that can be! I will have to check them out!
