Maxi dress, my summer staple. Heck it is a winter staple too, and a fall staple, and a spring staple. OK, a maxi dress is a year round thing. This one from Express is one I got about 3yrs ago? And I still love it. I don’t wear it as much as I should. Which is not good. Considering when I first looked at it in Express one day it screamed BUY ME RIGHT NOW. But, I didn’t I waited. Then it went on sale after Christmas and I got it 60% off. BAM. Mama got a new dress. WOOT. So I brought it home and wore it. And then it comes and goes from my closet. Not leaving it but being worn. And then I put it back in my closet. The dress is practically brand new, because of that.
This dress is really comfy and I love the cutout panel in the back. The only real complaint I have with this dress. Is my bra wants to make itself known to everyone that it is there and exists. There is always trouble hiding it. IT is still a cute dress, besides all that. It has a zipper in the back and it is a nice length! It is such a great piece, I really should and I mean SHOULD wear this damned thing more often! Bra issues or not.
Styling this dress can be so simple, and I kept it that way. I wore my new House of Harlow 1960 necklace and my ALDO bag. The sandals are my Charlotte Russe unicorn sandals, which I LOVE. Especially since my Unicorn Justfab heels broke! Sad face. You can see those shoes here. The simple accessories make the dress stand out more, as if it didn’t do that enough on it’s own! LOVE it.
This dress makes me feel like a boss mom, like I am unleashing my inner Morticia Adams. And she is the epitome of Boss Momdom. Don’t you think? She is, in my book. And who doesn’t love her and Gomez’s relationship. OK, now I wish it was October and Halloween was coming up. Also the cooler weather of fall would be awesome!
