I love my tulle skirts! And I was shocked by how much I love them. You can dress tulle skirts like mine up with a fancy pants top, or simplify it with a basic tee. Which the latter is usually how I wear it! So,when I got pregnant with my second child, I got a little sad I couldn’t wear it anymore. I thought it would look weird. In the first trimester not at all, not weird. And then the Second Trimester rolled along and I was sad that I would look funny. When I was pregnant with my first, my fashion sense went out the window. I was determined not to let that part of me go. Not again.
So when my third trimester hit, I felt in a funk. My hip hurt most of my pregnancy and thanks to physical therapy and a good maternity belt like this one. I was able to get back into a shape of some sorts and feel a little better. That is if I am not sick from everything I eat. Gastro issues better clear up, although my doctor thinks I will end up at a Gastroenterologist. Good times for this pregnant lady at the end of her rope. Anyways, I wanted to try this again, the skirt again. And so, I put it on over a dress I have worn a few times on the blog from H&M. This shiny navy blue dress was just perfect under this skirt, lets face it I needed the extra coverage and a maternity belt on bare skin sucks!
I knew upon looking at this outfit together I needed a necklace and so I reached for my favorite statement piece and then these new Justfab Merel velvet booties. You could so wear this tulle skirt from Charlotte Russe and dress from H&M if you are in any stage of pregnancy. And Extra points if you pair it with a cute plaid top tied up like I did over this maxi in this post here. The Justfab booties spoke to me as they reminded me of the booties I saw by Aquazurra.
This outfit is one that works all year, and don’t worry if you can not wear heels during this time, I got you covered. Truth is I had flats in my handbag! I always carry a pair with me now. I think it is a great idea to do so, as we get swollen feet with pregnancy. Some get swelling worse than others, I am determined not to let that happen again. My feet, hands, and face were so swollen last time. And when I went to the hospital the times I went they never thought twice about my BP being high. So, I chug the water and eat a bit healthier and also exercise.
OH flats. How does this outfit look with flats? AWFUL,just kidding it is just as fabulous with a pair of great flats.
You thought I wouldn’t think of everything? Well, I did and when chasing a little at this stage in pregnancy I need to be able to run in a flash. I can not run after a 4 yr old with spikey stilettos on. Therefore, flats come in handy! Really handy! I went for flats the same color as my heels and I think this color pattern is great for the season and for beyond!
So, that being said, I think a pregnant lady can totally wear a tulle skirt when pregnant! We look amazing in them even with the bump. They are truly beautiful, and anyone and any shape can wear them! It is all about the cut of the skirt!
