Inspired by Dolce and Gabbana

I have loved Dolce and Gabbana’s use of prints for a long time now, when I first really started blogging I would take their runway looks and editorials and recreate looks based on them. Like this post here . Their bold patterns and love of hair ornament, may seem a bit over the top, but the look is always so gorgeous and so much like right out of a fairy tale.

So, when I found this dress on SHEIN, it took me to those editorials of the big floral mixed print dresses of Dolce and Gabbana.

I love how exciting and bold their dresses and patterns are. Their campaigns are always so beautiful! Granted I can not afford a damned thing from Dolce and Gabbana, I can still be inspired by them, and find things that make me think of them.

Right?

I went with some flowers in my hair, and shot these photos outside, since some of their imagery is done outdoors, Not always a studio shot, and with this maxi dress, outdoors was the best idea. Even if it meant sweating to death! #fortheblog

Now one thing to note of this outfit too, is my lack of shoes! OK, so I can not wear heels yet with my medical issue and so, for this I went all Idril Celebrindal(meaning shoe less, she was an elf that never wanted to wear shoes hence the title Celebrindal) And it worked out fine! If I had a bag, I would so choose one that was as bold as the dress, go big or go home. That would be the editorial way!

I had a lot of fun wearing this dress, and the awesome thing is the dress was lined! But, it was a tad hot, and I didn’t have a bra that fit or worked with the dress. I need new bras! Anyways, I felt like such a queen in this, it is hard not to!

That being said, when shooting this outfit my boy had to be involved. He loves helping mommy, and since he has been home sick, I figured letting him get some fresh air was a great idea. He has been cooped up in the house. The ear infection does not want to ease up. Anyways, trouble with this little booger is that he likes to get right up on the camera lens. So, I get photos of his head, his eye, his nose, the inside of his nose, and his mouth. Yup.

This is how I deal with that! I don’t think he minds, do you?

Great way to channel D&G for the rest of us! I’m always envious of the magnificent patterns when I see them too. Your hair looks great too. Thanks for sharing.
