So Mother’s day was yesterday and while I am still reveling over the fun of it and the sunburn, I am sharing a new outfit. An outfit bought by hubby but picked out by me! H&M had a MASSIVE Mother’s day sale and we took advantage of it including getting the little a matching Metallica shirt to go with Mom and Dad. And I can not wait to share our family photos when I get around to taking them. I guess taking pictures of myself all the time is nice since I can now turn the lens on my little and take his pictures instead of hiring someone and wasting their time with his non corporative state. He is a little, but he has ASD, and the likely hood of it working is probably null right now. As I mentioned here in this post pre mother’s day. And I also have a new pair of JUSTFAB shoes. I have a thing for loafers right now and things that are really shiny!!!!!!
AHhh I know black and white again! I hope you wont be sick of it any time soon. Because I am not! 🙂 What I am sick of is seeing all those posts in my news feed.
“why you should stop wearing jeans at 30.”
“Why you should stop wearing this kind of eyeshadow at 30”
“When you should stop wearing…XYZ at 30.”
” When you should stop doing this …in your 30’s”
OK if you haven’t guessed by now I am in my….gulp…30’s. There..I said it. I am in my 30’s. Believe it or not I am that old. And I AM SICK to high HELL of those things! As if we don’t have enough of bashing each other as women. We now are being TOLD how to dress still in our 30’s! I am sorry why should I give a flying F–K about why I should stop wearing what ever at 30! Oh another was about crop tops, UGH! It is ok for celebs to do that but for us mere mortals we can only dress like the Stepford housewives of the 1950’s.
I am sorry but to quote Wayne from Wayne’s World
“I think NOT!”
I thought once we hit a certain age we were able to make our own fashionable decisions. Or was I dreaming that whole thing?
I must have been. I am in my 30’s and I am going to wear what I am going to wear. And if you are reading this in your 30’s then hands up and do your thing! Although, the pictures of yesterday are all on the beach and I was constantly second guessing my suit, even though I had a lot of ladies complimenting it and asking where I got my Beach Bunny Swimsuit. We all have moments of zen as well as confusion of ourselves. Because God forbid we wear a sexy hot mama swim suit at the beach.
Back to the outfit!
I got this H&M Crinkle off shoulder top yesterday and could not wait to share it! It has those boho charms that I just love during the summer. I found some culottes on clearance from H&M too and had to have them!!! They have pockets!!!!!! EEEEK!. Love it! Anyways, I can see this top and these pants getting a lot of love this summer. And to ad my obsession with silver or metallic things I wore my new Justfab Bettine shoes. These shoes are pointed toe and fit a bit on the snug size, so you may want to go up a half size. SO if you are 7.5 go up to an 8. Still once they are broken in they will be fine! The shoes will go with so many and this style of shoe is so in for summer, the metallic and the loafer style!
This is a super summer outfit, and although my hair is trying hard to go insane I felt good. Other than the sunburn. I adore the lacey texture on the shirt and the linen like texture. And the mini bell sleeves. Just so flowy and added a bit of drama to the more structured outfit.
And I got some new sunnies the other day also from H&M and wore them today, again lots of love for those and they come in gold!!!!!!!
Saturday is a mama me time day, so I will be getting a gold pair too.s
Styling black and white can be just as summery as anything. It is all how you style it. Try wearing a billowy shirt with the black structured pant. Or wear the off shoulder trend with the ruffles and fluffles with a great comfy pair of culottes. Add a great heel or flat in metallic like these Justfab Bettine shoes. And you will have one monochromatic summery chic outfit!
