Grey sweater dress and shiny shoes

Hey friends happy Wednesday ! I hope you all have a great day! Today was a good day but a sad one too.  My son started school today. It was his first day of VPk. It was my first day without my little booger butt running me ragged through the house. I didn’t know what to do, but luckily for me I had errands to keep me busy.  I missed him, and yet I know part of him growing up was to know how to loosen the strings a bit. He did well and so did I.

I chose a cute Olaf outfit for him today, with matching socks and he looked so cute with his Star Wars back pack. Myself I went for a cute grey sweater dress from Yoins, for my outfit of the day. I just love how soft the sweater dress is. And some flared jeans from Express. I love love love their jeans. I topped it all off with my lime green mini and some great chunk Miista shoes in a bronze shiny color.

I wanted something comfy and sleeve ready to wipe away tears, just in case mama bear cried. Which I didn’t. Hubby bought me flowers and Dunkin I was OK.

But, I was made to feel like I was “that” parent. You know the annoying kind(I guess) the kind that won’t stop calling the school to check and see if someone received what they were supposed to. And keep calling and keep being involved. And when they had received it they called me instead to let me know. I was even shown how many times I called today. I said ” it’s important to me, my little one is worth me being annoying. It is for him”. No one could disagree.  Everyone agreed. So yeah, be that parent if need be, don’t fall through the cracks. If I hadn’t been persistent, my son would have started school today I don’t think. And we would have missed a day again.

So, any advice for the new to school mom? And I don’t know why I am dressed for 40 degree weather when it was in the 80’s. Yeah it was hot,
