When I first got this silk skirt from The Real Real, I couldn’t wait to style it. I had to try it on and wear it right then and there. It was that good, this is all due to watching that documentary on him on my Netflix. I wore it then with a bright orange top with ruffles by ASOS and it was so cute. But the post was lacking, lacking in pizazz. A skirt like this needs that show off kind of vibe. And so I wore my new Dries in Daytona Beach at the boardwalk.
The skirt has the most beautiful floral print, even though it is see through. I wore a tulle skirt under it and so it was not a see through anything anymore. I went for a cute strappy cami and my nude sandals from ALDO, I will link to something similar here. The outfit came together so well, and I felt super confident in it. Wearing DRIES will do that, I think it is the bold and vibrant prints that make you stand taller and stand out.
I love this silk midi skirt, I love the colors and I love the print. It is weird but I have been embracing more color lately. And while I love my black and white outfits, I wanted some color this summer. And color I got, with some new jumpsuits and skirts, and such. Although, to be fair, I did order more black things too, a new black jumpsuit and tee, and a pair of faux leather leggings.
I guess old habits die hard. It is OK though, I did buy some other things. I have a whole post coming up on purging the closet and my rules for engagement when it comes to closet cleaning. The do’s and the don’ts.
What do you think of Dries Van Noten? Do you love his designs as much as I do?
