It’s a boy! I have to tell you this pregnancy has been such a whirlwind of things. From Morning sickness to now massive chronic hip pain. This baby is definitely different and because of all those initial symptoms people thought I was having a girl. Well, SURPRISE! I feel happy to finally know! And the baby is healthy! The pain and constant discomfort on days makes me look for comfy things that are also gorgeous and stylish! This dress from Motherhood Maternity fits that, and it is the most comfortable dress ever!
The dress is a soft cotton dress that is lined with another lining of cotton material. It is stretchy and the detailing is just beautiful in its simplicity. I have to say though when I first saw this dress in the store months ago, I didn’t like it. It did not wow me. It did not give the good vibes. It wasn’t until I saw it on the website for Motherhood maternity that I fell in love with this style. This Grecian Goddess dress. Although on me it looks more Fae like. I am good with that as we know. Me being the Tolkien nerd and all. I went back to Motherhood maternity to try it on and at the moment there were only larges. I need a small or extra small in the dresses. That is when a lady asked if the one on display was available to try on too. She pulled it down and saw it was in fact a small and so the girl put it on hold for the other customer. That evening or late afternoon I should say, I was able to get the dress and she hadn’t gotten it. They only hold the dresses for a few hours. And this beautiful and AMAZINGLY comfy Galadriel dress was mine, along with a black dress. Gosh can not keep me away from black and white clothes. Anyways, I was able to get these photos done for my blog’s gender reveal. And I believe the pictures came out well.
Dress: Motherhood maternitySo now that I am in my Second Trimester, my nausea is not as bad. But my hips are a total mess, I think I mentioned that earlier. MY mood swings are way worse this time around than with my first son. I am still exercising and my doctor only put me on light restrictions with concerns to that. Being I can not put my head lower than my hips in poses due to blood pressure and other reasons. Also, I have to be careful in general as most do and can only do low impact and low stress. We are also going to be measuring baby boy’s size as we go. My first boy was big and well I was supposed to have a C-section. Things did not go too well that night and day of delivery. I am hopeful this time will be better. We have not picked a name. With my first born son, we picked a name easier than before. I think part is due to my hubby thinking this time was a girl. That inner momolouge was telling me otherwise. My inner voice was saying they are all wrong it is a boy. So, now we have to think of names. The nursery colors will stay the same with the monochrome palette. Black, white, and greys, with a pop of another color. Maybe a mint green? Target is killing me with their choices and I picked up a fitted sheet set for the pack n play we still have. They match the color palette and were on SALE! Score!
I am starting to feel more movements as we go along. The baby is active and very healthy. Which is great to hear. Let us just hope that this one doesn’t try to come early like with the first and that I do not get 2 epidurals. I kind of wish I could get the glucose test out of the way now, but that is not for a while. YUCK! I hope you all love these pictures as much as I do and I will do a more styled picture of how to wear this dress IRL later. You can see my most recent maternity outfit that I wore to Fashion Week here.
