Boho outfit on the blog today, and the mommy is exhausted. The bags under my eyes are definitely not designer. They are anything but.I was up at 3AM this morning with my little who came to bed and then had a meltdown. After that he was so wound up, sleep was not going to come. I let him play for a bit and then gave him something to help him sleep. Which is a cup of milk and rubbing his little back. As well as applying pressure to his legs and arms, gentle squeezes. It helps. So, when it came to getting up this morning I grabbed the first two things in my line of sleep deprived vision. This bell sleeve dress from TOBI and these old Gladiator boots from Breckelles. I got the shoes almost 3 to 4 yrs ago, and have gotten so many compliments on them. I will like to something similar at the end of the post. You can also see them in this outfit here.
So, I grabbed those two items. I barely did my makeup. Some light foundation, the eyeshadow from last night that I forgot to take off after working out, and minimal blush. No jewelry, I am surprised I remembered to wear a bra or to actually wear the shoes I pulled out. That is how exhausted mommy was! This dress from TOBI is so comfortable, and I love the deep V-neck and lace cut out details. And I know it is black(it came in purple too) but it is a staple color of mine. I wanted little effort today so a simple boho outfit it was, I threw up my dirty hair into a “mom bun” and went on my way. My way to an adventure with my little. P.s. This would be a good festival style. I would just get gladiators with no heel.
This boho outfit is one that really can be worn a lot, and what makes it effortless is the fact that it doesn’t need anything else with it. The shoes make the statement along with the details on the dress. And that really is the point isn’t it? To be effortless and cool in the summer. However, let me say by the time I was done shooting this my makeup was off my face and on the ground. It was THAT hot and humid out. SO Gross, and that is why I keep facial cleansing wipes in my bag and diaper bag. I was able to spruce the face back up after with my TOO FACED cocoa powder compact.
So, on hot days and days where my little is having an “off” day I keep my outfit simple. Little to no jewelry(incase he pulls) and just comfort all around. If I can not wear jewelry, I make up for it with some stellar shoes or bags. That is why I buy bold bags friends and bold shoes. OK, and as well as wear bright lips. Well, that one is more because I don’t want to look dead, I am very pale.
So, i got some things in progress for the blog! My next mom and son matching outfits are picked out and ready to be shot! I have some other posts I need to do too, including one that I wasn’t happy with how I wrote it and didn’t like the pictures of it. So, trash. And I am going to redo it! Mind made up! This was a lot of fun hanging out at this pier and boardwalk. People kept asking me if I needed a photographer, or if they could take my photos for me. I appreciate it, really, but my little and I were in the zone. A happy little zone. I knew his limits(the little) and didn’t want to push it, plus I think I do a damn fine job on my own.
Steal my style!
