Hi friends and happy whatever the hell day it is! I swear that I have been trying to dodge this flu funk and I am trying. I can feel my immune system fighting it. It sucks! My little isn’t as bad and finally started eating. Now he has an awesome cough. I am sure we will be over this nonsense soon. My house isn’t even decorated for Christmas yet! AHH I am feeling like such a slacker. But what else can I do when I have a kid that cries out when I am away too long, or is sick all over? Nothing but sit on the couch with him and cuddle the sick out of him. It is what mom’s do best. We make things better.
OK, well enough of my whining about having the funk or not. Let’s talk about today’s outfit of the day! I love this comfortable maxi dress from Motherhood maternity, it is so soft and comfortable. It also doubles as a nursing dress! But,you know when you wear something over and over and over again it gets tiring? You get sick of it. SO, I wanted to share how I fixed that! All it requires is bit of imagination(not really) and a great light button down blouse. Like this striped button down blouse from Stylewe!
What I did was take the blouse leave most of it unbuttoned except for the two near the chest right around where I would end up tying it. I took the bottom half and tied the ends together till it was up above my bump then tied a knot. DONE! That’s it. I rolled the sleeves up added a bold bracelet and kept the rest simple. I wore white heels and took out my bright ruby red bow clutch! Who doesn’t love a clutch like this?! It is such a great bag!
The thing I like about this look is you can do this even if you are not pregnant. I think this look also elongates the bod, which I am not very tall anyways, I feel tall in these pictures. And you could totally do this look with a plaid shirt! Yes! Which is going to be a holiday look of mine when I can get my ass to where I need to for the holiday pictures. You can also see how I styled this dress here.
