The song by Billie Idol is now in my head as I write this up. Today on Glamorousandgeeky I am sharing a what to wear to a wedding where the bride wants everyone to wear all white. Except the men, they wear khakis and stuff. And for those of you who do not have to worry about dress code there are plenty of other outfits to get inspired from on today’s blog post!
So, you may think well now what? What do you wear to a wedding where it is all white and not look too bridal or bridal party. It helps a lot when the bride is wearing a dress that has more colors on it. And the bigger challenge here is wearing white to a wedding as a pregnant lady. OH yes, this is going to be a lot of fun! Gandalf where are you to help me with this. Actually where is Galadriel? Wait screw that where is Tim Gunn?!
The dress I chose was a simple and yet chic dress from ASOS with cage lace details at the top and bottom. It is a fitted midi length dress. I decided to wear my studded nude heels and kept the accessories simple.I was going to wear bright red lipstick but went with a neutral shade called Rose by Tarte. And I opted for my gold sunglasses to wear as well since the wedding is outside. A nice clutch or small purse like this one is good as we are going to dinner in Orlando after the ceremony. And I must mention that the dress is on SALE!
My only thing with this dress is when I got it, I was still small in the bump area. This dress is stretchy and does give room to grow in. So, I know by the time the wedding rolls around it will fit a lot better! And because of the cage details it can still be very simple and yet is also very high fashion. For the blog post I grabbed the waist. I use clips on things right now in blog photos since I am in between sizes to show how it should fit. The below photo shows how it fits now at 18 1/2 weeks. A bit on the baggy side, that is OK. And it doesn’t come smaller than a size 4. I am OK with the extra room!
Here are some ideas for white dresses for a fall wedding where you have to wear white as a guest. The fun thing is you can really play with your accessories and shoes here. So, get creative!
